Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Wednesday announced that he will be attending a conference on Infrastructure at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Communication Director Philip Etale has used the opportunity to attack leaders he described as 'busybodies' who usually attack the opposition leader.
He insinuated that the ODM party leader is a busy person who is always invited to high profile conferences even outside the county. He further contended that the 'busybodies' are always roaming around wanting to take credit even for members of County Assembly.
"A busy man always has something meaningful to do. He is invited to important and high profile engagements across the globe. A busy body will always solicit for events locally including those that are for MCAs to be seen to be doing something... yes that is the difference.," Etale opined on Facebook.
He was talking after the former Premier, who is also the African Union High Representative on Infrastructure, was invited to attend an event that would see the integration of green belt and Road Initiative in Africa. Representatives from other continents too are expected.
"Departing for Addis Ababa to attend a conference on the infrastructure meant to facilitate the integration of the Belt and Road Initiative and the development strategies of African countries. It will bring together representatives from various international institutions," reads a Twitter statement by Raila Odinga.
