Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter is a no-nonsense politician. Keter recently hit the headlines after police arrested him for allegedly colluding with other two men to defraud the Central Bank of Kenya Sh633 million.
The firebrand politician, however, denied the allegations, terming them political witch-haunt. He claimed that his political stand is among the reasons why he was being targeted.

Was expelled from Egerton University
Keter was admitted at Egerton University, however, he did not complete his education at the institution after he was expelled while in the second year for leading students strike. He was among the most vocal students during his days after the institution.
Worked as a matatu tout
Born in Ollessos village in Nandi county, Keter once worked as a tout in order to earn a living. He worked in different matatus across the country including Eastleigh.
He first vied as an MP in Starehe constituency
Keter tried to enter Parliament in 2007 where he contested in Starehe constituency, Nairobi county but lost. However, he did not give up on his dream. He decided to try his second chance in 2013 and this time around he was lucky to be elected Nandi Hills MP.
Did his KCSE outside the school
He was later re-admitted but expelled in form four after harassing a cook who failed to give students food, forcing him to write his KCSE examinations outside the school.
