A local top football analyst has predicted the winner of tonight's encounter between France and Belgium.
John Kyanda says the much-awaited contest between the two European side promises plenty of goals and mouth-watering display from the world-class players in the teams.
In a morning show on Citizen TV on Wednesday, Kyanda predicted that France, the winners of 1998 World Cup, will suffer defeat at the hands of the Red Devils.
"I expect Belgium to give France a run for their money big time. I do not think the French midfield has what it takes to match the Belgian midfield. On top of that, the Belgium team is so fast," he said.
The Sports Editor and Presenter at HOT 96 observed that French defence of Pavard, Varane, Umiti and Hernandez is weak, and therefore, the Didier Deschamps team won't stop the ruthless attack of De Bruyne, Hazard and Lukaku.
"The French defence has not been tested with the level of top quality players like the one they will face tonight," he stated.
Kyande noted that another factor that will help the Belgium manager Roberto Martinez qualify to 2018 World Cup final is his assistant: Former French international and Arsenal talisman Thierry Henry.
"Henry is comfortable in Belgium. He is a legend. He is the highest paid sportsman in the world. He has experience and he knows what it means to play in these big stages," he said.
