Former Wiper Chairman David Musila has revealed how former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka was overlooked during a foreign trip.
In a story published by the Daily Nation, the former Senator divulged that he once accompanied Kalonzo to a country in the Middle East to source for party funds, where the latter did not receive VIP treatment.
In the article, Musila noted that the country took the title of chairman and business cards so seriously than he anticipated.
According to him, his designation on the card as a party chairman made him receive the VIP treatments as they thought that he was the Liberal Party leader and not Kalonzo who was given a single room to stay on.
"I was ushered into a suite while Kalonzo was given a single room. I received all the VIP treatment," he recounted.
The two leaders worked together for many years, but parted ways ahead of the 2017 general elections with Kalonzo supporting former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, while Musila supported President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Musila contested for the Wiper party Kitui gubernatorial nominations, but lost to Julius Malombe who in turn lost to Charity Ngilu during the general elections.
