A video shared by former Kakamega Senator Dr Bonny Khalwale showing his treasured bull named Malinya ‘burying’ one of his friends, has sparked a huge debate on Twitter.
The charged bull was at the burial ceremony of Dr Jacon Maleche in Kakamega on Saturday.
Khalwale shared the video with the caption “Professors & Doctors of Medicine couldn’t believe it when one of their own, Dr Jacob Maleche was today buried by my bull Malinya in Bushiangala in Ikolomani...”
In the video, Malinya is aggressively seen trying to scoop some soil with his forelimbs before shoving it to the actual grave using his head.
The former Senator together with residents mills around the charged bull and chant words that seemingly, the bull understands and it goes on to scoop the soil into the grave.
Some of his followers suggested that the bull could have been "charged" by being fed with marijuana - a drug that has a reputation in hyperactivation.
Others lauded what Khalwale did saying it promotes the Luhya culture where bullfighting is a treasured phenomenon not to mention that he, Khalwale, is the "bullfighting patron" in Luhya land.
