Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has once again dragged the names of the nation’s leading political families in the runaway graft in the country.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant claimed that families of founding father Jomo Kenyatta and former Vice President Jaramogi Oginga have pulled out billions of money from public coffers.
He claimed that the two and the families of former Presidents Mwai Kibaki, Daniel Moi and ex-minister the late Nicholas Biwott had stashed away around Sh15 trillion stolen from Kenyans.
He added that the amount could go a long way in bettering the nation if it were to be returned and put into proper use.
‘’The Kenyattas, Mois, Odingas, Kibakis, Biwotts etc have stashed Kshs 15 TRILLION Kenyan Shillings abroad - more than enough to build biodegradable factories, schools, hospitals, universities and housing projects in each village for 100 years. Repatriate our money. #SayNoToUjinga,’’ tweeted Miguna.
Miguna has always been in the front-line bashing the leading political elite after his expulsion from the country earlier in the year, weeks after he took part in opposition leader Raila Odinga’s mock presidential coronation.
He is currently based in Canada where he was deported to after landing in a row with the Immigration Department earlier in the year, with all his attempts to make a return failing.#hivisasaoriginal
