Lawyer Miguna Miguna now claims that the poor attendance at this year's Labour Day celebrations should act as a lesson for the nation's leading political figures.
The event was held at Uhuru Park in Nairobi and presided over by Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
The lawyer is now saying that the poor attendance demonstrates that Kenyans are tired, claiming that those who availed themselves for the function were curious onlookers not interested in the event.
He termed it a demonstration, that Kenyans will no longer entertain their current leadership, a leadership he has repeatedly branded corrupt and unneeded.
According to Miguna, the low attendance was proof that Kenyans are ready for a revolution, terming it a message to President Uhuru Kenyatta, opposition boss Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.
"Less than 150 Kenyans attended this year's Labour Day. These images represent curious Kenyans sizing up Atwoli's distended belly. It is a clear message to Atwoli, Ouru (Uhuru), Raila Odinga and Williams Ruto: The people are getting ready for the revolution!" he tweeted.
Miguna, who is currently operating from Canada following his February 2018 deportation, has been calling for a revolution that will being to power a new class of leaders.
He has repeatedly accused the named politicians of engaging in corruption and subjecting Kenyans to poor leadership.
