According to the vocal MP, Raila didn't force MPs allied to ODM to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's new proposal on fuel taxation.

"Raila's name should not be dragged into the 8 per cent fuel taxation.

"He met with ODM MPs and he did not force anyone to support the 8 per cent fuel hike," he said.

Arati said opposition supporters should ignore propaganda going round that Raila compelled the ODM MPs to support the proposal.

He insisted that opposition MPs especially from the Gusii region won't support Uhuru's new proposal.

"I and my colleagues from Gusii region will vote against the 8 per cent VAT on fuel tax. I am not going to change my stand as people may be thinking out there," he said.

He was speaking on Wednesday evening during an interview at Radio citizen.
