Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua is facing lots of challenges apart from his re-election petition that is before the Supreme Court judges.
In addition to his re-election's appeal case,
Machakos MCAs continue to fault the county boss
over different administrative issues.
The MCAs accuse Mutua of what they term as making false claims in regard to funds meant for the county's development.
They claimed the governor had lied to the public about the funds which had been set aside for purchasing water tanks to the community.
Led by Majority Leader Mark Muendo and Deputy Speaker Paul Museku, the MCAs claimed that the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader has been undermining them when it comes to matters affecting the common 'mwananchi'.
They opposed the transfer of public funds from one arm of the government to another in a bid to ensure there is transparency.
They also alleged that the governor is trying to use dirty tricks to suppress them.
On his part, Mutua said the MCAs have been frustrating his leadership.
He claimed that the lawmakers have been ignoring his letters on different official duties.
“Whenever I plan to visit their wards I call and send them official letters but they decline… I am left with no alternative but to request Machakos residents to choose leaders who will act as a link between for better service delivery to wananchi,” Mutua said.
