Slain Royal Media comedian Joseph Mochere's burial will be substantially delayed to Friday this week, it has now emerged.
Mr. Mochere, popularly known as Okebiro O'Mose, committed suicide a week ago over what pundits relate to family duels.
Unlike other suicide victims who are buried hurriedly according to Abagusii culture, Mochere's funeral delay was occasioned by lack of a house in his rural home.
For the better part of this weekend, fans and well-wishers have been erecting a house in his Enchoro ahead of the burial.
Spearhead by local MP Vincent Kemosi, they said that by the end of business on Thursday all will be ready.
"We have donated 30 bags of cement and other construction materials to fasten the process.
"Hopefully by Thursday all will be ready ahead of his send off on Friday," read a statement from Kemosi's office.
Besides the local committee which is in charge, fans loyal to Egesa FM have been also conducting separate harambee.
Mr. Okebiro survived with a widow and two children along with thousands of fans across the country.
