In an interview with a local television station on Sunday, the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator claimed that things are no longer calm within the ruling Jubilee Party.

He accused unnamed forces close to President Uhuru Kenyatta of sponsoring a plan to facilitate a fallout between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in an attempt to paralyze Ruto's 2022 presidential bid, claims Omari says hold no water.

Speaking on Radio Citizen Thursday morning, the commentator claimed that the Senator is most likely out to impress Ruto's quarter, in a bid to cement himself in his house leadership position.

"Kuna ushindani pale na lazima ajaribu kumaintain position yake hadi 2022. Haya in maoni yake na sio ya Ruto ama Uhuru (he is just trying to retain his position until 2022 and what he said was his personal opinion and not from any of the leaders)," he said.

In the interview, Murkomen further poked holes into the lifestyle Audit proposed by President Uhuru Kenyatta, linking it to the same individuals whom he accused of banking on it to raise suspicions on Ruto's integrity.

According to Murkomen, the audit set for all state officers is illegal and cannot be used in its current state, maintaining that it is bound to abuse.

Ruto has however since expressed his willingness to take the test.
