Speaking at Emusire High School on Saturday, during the homecoming ceremony for Emuhaya Member MP Omboko Milemba, Atwoli said that the nation might have a new constitution before 2022.

The vocal trade unionist termed himself an insider, claiming that he has the information that the nation could go to the next general elections with fresh laws.

"We will be amending the current constitution before 2022. I am a big shareholder of the current one so I am aware of the pending changes," he said.

He further noted that the Luhya nation must front a candidate for the 2022 presidential race, urging leaders to pool up funds to sponsor their candidate's campaigns

Atwoli, however, endorsed Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi for the contest, terming him nationally acceptable and the best to fly the Western Kenya presidential flag.

"Musalia is acceptable all across the nation, he will be accepted in Central, Nyanza and all the other regions, making him the best for the ticket," he claimed.

Also present was Musalia, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya among a host of other leaders.
