Former Subukia legislator Koigi wa Wamwere has welcomed the recent opinion poll ranking Deputy President William Ruto as the most corrupt Kenyan.
In the poll released by research firm Ipsos Synovate on Wednesday, 33% of Kenyans said the DP is the most corrupt followed by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru at 31%.
Koigi said the poll was 'right on Ruto'.
"Penye moshi hapakosi moto. Ili wamtaje Ruto ambaye yuko na nguvu nyingi za kiserikali, lazima Ipsos wako na dhibitisho tosha kwamba yeye ni mfisadi (for Ipsos to name a top government official like Ruto, there must be enough proof)," he said.
He said the poll was fetched from Kenyans and cannot be rubbished.
"Haya ni maoni ya wakenya na hakuna mtu anayeweza kuyapuuza (Ipsos represents Kenyans' opinion which no one can refute)," he added.
The list also includes the names of former Presidents Mwai Kibaki and Daniel Moi as well as well as President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Also in the list is opposition leader Raila Odinga and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who have, however, remained mum on the issue.
