Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi has dismissed a recent report released by Mzalendo Trust listing legislators who rarely contributed in Parliament.
The report named Sudi among lawmakers who did not make any contributions in Parliament between September 2017 to December 2018.
Speaking to journalists in Eldoret Town, the lawmaker said he has been active on important things, adding that he has sponsored several bills in parliament.
"Mimi kama mjumbe nko na kazi mingi sana. Kwanza kule bunge niko na role kubwa sana ya kupitisha yale miswada ya muhimu inayowasaidia raia. Kuna wale wabunge kazi yao ni kuongea kiingereza mingi, lakini hawajafanya lolote kuwasaidia wanainchi. Wakaazi wa Kapseret hawajalalamika kwa sababu wanatambua ile kazi ninafanya hapa ground," he said.
(I am a lawmaker and I have a lot of work. First of all, inside Parliament I have a big role of passing bills that matter to the tax payer. There are those Members of Parliament whose work is to speak a lot of English but they do nothing for the voters. The residents of Kapseret have not lamented because they recognize the work I have been doing on the ground).
Other male lawmakers on the list are Shinyalu MP; Justus Kizito, Joshua Adama (Nyakach), James Githua Wamacukuru (Kabete), Alfred Sambu (Webuye East), Emgwen MP Alex Kosgey, Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Charles Kamuren (Baringo South) and Samuel Arama of Nakuru Town West.
