Since the historic handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila has made a couple of trips to Central Kenya besides hosting renowned politicians from the region at his Capitol Hill offices.

And on Thursday, Raila sneaked to the home of veteran politician Nginyo Kariuki, who is recuperating after a long illness.

"PL @RailaOdinga is currently on his way to Kiambu home of veteran politician Nginyo Kariuki to wish him well as he recuperates after an illness. Get well soon Mheshimiwa," his party ODM tweeted.https://twitter.com/TheODMparty/status/1065584395367661568?s=19.

Among top Mt Kenya politicians who have held meetings with Raila include: former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, Kabando wa Kabando, Joseph Nyagah, Maina Kamanda and Peter Kenneth.

Despite remarks by a section of his handlers that he will be on ballot, Raila insists that he's not interested in President Uhuru Kenyatta succession battle.

"H. E Raila Odinga is not interested in succession battles. He's keen to execute his mandate as given by AU," Dennis Onyango, his spokesman said.
