Mr Nyagarama appealed to residents to turn up in large numbers to register for their Huduma number.

The county boss regretted that despite the Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i who hails from the county initiated the program, locals have disappointing him by not turning up in large numbers to register.

"I am urging Nyamira residents not to disappoint Matiang'i by refusing to show up to register. In fact Nyamira residents could have been the first people to finish registration within the first 2 or 3 weeks," said the county boss.

The ODM allied Governor challenged registration officials to work around the clock to ensure locals are listed.

He insisted that Nyamira residents need to get the Huduma number so that the national and county governments can offer better services to them.

Nyagarama noted that should locals fail to register, the government will not be able to serve them diligently as required by law.

"The government will use the figures recorded in the Huduma number program to deliver services to Kenyans," he added.
