However, it comes a time when this first choice relationship fails to add up and to some point, couples end up fighting each other before they quit.

In recent weeks, most relationships have ended with one partner killing his or her lover, the latest one being a police officer in Likoni, Mombasa County where he killed his alleged lover before turning the gun on self.

On Tuesday, Citizen TV hosted radio personality Annitah Raey where they discussed various topics including red flags in relationships.

Raey said one of the red flags in a man is jealousy.

"For me, the first and biggest red flag is an over-jealous man," she said adding that every partner in a relationship deserves space.

When Kenyans on social media were reached for comments, they listed the following to be some of the things they consider as red flags:

1. Lilian Wagathura said: "less Communication, attention and care if he behaves like u don't exist anymore, take off (sic)."

2. James Mwangi said: "When she starts asking more MONEY than usual."

3. Carols Lisah said: "When he starts swallowing Viagra😂😂😂."

4. Joe Mutai said: "Call times reduce, When out she/he calls after every 30 mins., signs of lack of trust, that time when he/she starts discussing your fellow friends (lady/men). Ujue kitumbua kinaungulia..."

5. Winnie Mbesa said: "When he says he wants a relationship with no emotional attachments . My friend just take off for your dear life...."

6. Paul Mbugua said: "Lack of money."

7. Faizol Dizzo Qui said: "When he can no longer sustain my upkeep 😂😂😂😂😂I give up its feel like tumeanza kushare with some .... somewhere."

From what Kenyans are listing, most of them consider reduced communication as the biggest red flag that is more worrying in a relationship. It is therefore good to keep healthy communications with your loved ones.
