A 26-year-old woman descended on her aunt with kicks and blows accusing her for attempting to snatch her husband.
This happened on Wednesday at Inani village, Gekano Manga, Nyamira County. Ann Orenge said she was married two years ago but her husband has been having an illicit sex with her aunt only identified as Nyakara.
“My husband married me and we lived in peace until when I gave birth last year December. Since then everything ha changed because my husband has been sleeping with my aunt.
"Efforts to stop them have not given fruits. I decided to beat my aunt so that she can leave alone my man,” she said.
Mrs. Orenge said her husband has been for several days been boycotting sleeping in their house.
She said she found her husband with the aunt naked in bed but the husband escaped through the window abandoning her aunt behind prompting to the fight.
“I found them red handed in the house in bed naked but, my husband escaped. I attacked Nyakara who screamed to attract members of the public who came to her rescue. I could have killed her because she wants to spoil my marriage,” she noted.
Area assistant chief Joseph Ndiege confirmed the incident and said the man went into hiding after the incident.
Ndiege urged married couples to be faithful in marriage to curb unnecessary quarrels and fights.
