The defense team had earlier applied for bail even as Mr. Oyamo denied murder charges just like his boss, who is remanded at Industrial Prison.

Now, Mr.Oyamo, whom the prosecution has accused of luring Rongo University student, a lover Mr. Obado, hours to her abduction and subsequent death, will wait until October 8th to battle the murder charges.

"The accused person played a key role in the planning and eventual execution of the deceased and her unborn child," said Jacob Ondari, the prosecutor.

The judge said giving the prime suspect bail might collapse the ongoing investigations on the mysterious murder of Ms. Otieno.

"I order that the accused is remanded to August 8th. Is is adversely mentioned as prime suspect."

This means that Mr. Oyamo may now have to proceed with the case after losing the bail application.

On Thursday, Governor Okoth Obado, who conceded that he had impregnated the deceased, will know the fate of his bail application.

Prosecutors are planning to add another charge, killing the unborn baby on top of Sharon's death.

Mr. Oyamo was mentioned by journalist Barack Oduor as the person who had lured them to a Rongo hotel before they were abducted.

While Oduor managed to jump out of the speeding vehicle, helpless Sharon's mutilated body was retrieved from Kodera forest hours later.
