Speaking during National Anti-Corruption Conference at the Bomas of Kenya on Friday, Uhuru labelled graft as a 'monster' and asked all Kenyans to support government investigative agencies in the war.

"The fight against this monster requires all of us to work together in one common accord. A battalion of 45 Million Strong that makes us one indivisible nation of one people. Similarly, all arms of government must work together to eliminate this vice," the President said.

The remarks, however, have been scorned by Miguna who accused President Uhuru's father and founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta as well as other political families of enriching themselves through dishonest means.

The former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate said that until the stolen money is returned to the public coffers, calls to fight corruption will be in vain.

"The monster is your pest @UKenyatta . Until you, your cronies and collaborators RESTORE the trillions of shillings your father Jomo, your mentor Daniel arap Moi, the Kenyatta, Muhoho, Michuki, Karume, Kibaki, Biwott and other families plundered, you are playing a fake guitar," the vocal lawyer said in a tweet.

Among those who addressed the conference include National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, ODM leader Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto and Chief Justice David Maraga.

They all pledged to back President Uhuru's efforts of making Kenya a corruption-free country.
