Police in Migori town have launched investigations into a bizarre incident in which a 31-year-old man was attacked over the weekend and his genitals chopped off by unknown assailants.
The man identified as Felix Otieno from Mukuro village in Suna East Sub County was in the company of a friend when unknown assailants attacked them and stabbed him several times before chopping off his manhood and disappeared. His friend managed to escape during the fracas.
Confirming the incident, Mukuro location chief Josephat Okinyi said Otieno and his unidentified friend had left an entertainment joint late in the evening when they were ambushed by machete-wielding men.
"They were from an entertainment joint on Saturday night when they were confronted by unknown people who attacked and stabbed him (Otieno) mercilessly while the other friend managed to escape," said Okinyi.
According to the chief, the attackers then chopped his manhood and carried it away.
The victim, who sustained several injuries, was rushed to Migori Level Four Hospital but was later referred to the Kisii hospital as his condition worsened.
