Being a students' leader in a university has been always a dream to most of the comrades who are to take political directions in the future.
In Moi University, that urge to lead is always an everybody's wish but interestingly the comrades who aspire for the leadership roles have been encouraged by Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino, who is known to have led in the University of Nairobi for quite a long time.
Amos Cheruiyot, a 23-year-old Moi University student who might be the next 'Babu Owino' was recently endorsed by his fellow students for future Moi University Students Organization (MUSO) elections.
However, the following characters have surely made the Business Studies student also known as Shaheen Said the favourite to most of the comrades who have taken into account that he will be the next 'Babu Owino' in the Kesses-based university.
A number of Moi University students revealed that Cheruiyot is humble and that opportunity would enable him serve the entire institution in a sound way.
"Cheruiyot is a humble man, we have endorsed him to vie for next MUSO elections because he will ensure the institution is heading in the right way as comrades affairs are concerned," revealed Evans, a third-year student.
Cheruiyot has also made the list of favourite next MUSO leaders due to his good leadership skills.
"Cheruiyot is always a leader, he looks like a leader as portrayed by his characters like now he is a youth leader in our ward and hopefully that opportunity to be in MUSO leadership will shape him for future politics back at home," noted Stacy Memo who happens to be a neighbour of Cheruiyot at home.
However, several other 'nominees' have come out revealing that they are ready to battle for the seat when the time comes.
"For now we should concentrate on studies until that period comes, I will also vie for a seat in MUSO and am ready to compete fairly with other aspiring comrades," revealed one of the nominees who sought anonymity.
