A man is nursing emotional heart injuries after his wife divorced him over a bra.
Jared Ongori said his wife, Hyline Mogoi, found a woman bra in their bedroom prompting to the divorce.
This happened on Sunday in Kiru village in Kenyenya, Kisii County.
According to Ongori, he doesn’t know how the bra found its way to the bedroom.
“My wife had gone to visit her parents in Bogitaa and when she returned she found a woman bra in the bedroom which I know nothing about. She claimed that I brought another woman into our bedroom while she was away. I rubbished the claims and she packed her belongings and left on claims that I have been sleeping with other women,” he said.
Ongori said the wife might have set him up because no woman visited him while his wife was away.
Efforts by residents and the man’s family members to persuade the woman to stay didn’t give fruits.
“We tried to talk with her so that she can stay but she insisted that she must go because the woman abandoned the bra in their bedroom after her husband completed having sex with her,” said the man’s cousin Devis Twoni.
Twoni said the woman left with their 4-year-old daughter leaving the man alone at home.
