This comes amid tough audit queries on Irregular spending, corruption and mundane leadership with locals decrying over huge unspent balances in the treasury.

Multiple sources intimate that Mr. Nyagarama is 'unhappy' with his troops and will sacrifice a number of them for service delivery.

"I want to assure you that he's tired with excuses by his officers. In few weeks time, some will be reshuffled and we might have few losing their jobs," a source said.

Another insider added: "He has tolerated them for a while and time for mercy is over. They had time to deliver. The worst is waiting for them. Not long from today."

Mr. Nyagarama will appear before Senate PAC on Wednesday where he's supposed to answer audit queries raised by Auditor General over spending in 2015/16.

Senator Okong'o Mogeni threatened to resign should Nyagarama fail to account for missing millions from taxpayers kitty.

"I am embarrassed. We can keep going on like this. No project, nothing. Someone might take responsibility and I can't be part of rogue regime."

By October 17th, close to Sh1.2 billion remained idle in treasury even with little ongoing projects across the county.
