At Embakasi on Thursday, detectives arrested Mr. Odhiambo, who has been on the run for a month and subsequently detained him at Muthaiga police station.

On Friday, Kiambu Law Courts magistrate Justus Kituku ordered the suspect to be detained for a further 14 days tin pave way for investigations as detectives plan an identification parade.

“The suspect needs to be subjected to identification parade, which has not been done,” said Otieno in a sworn affidavit.

“The suspect, who indicated to the investigation team that he has crucial reports on the murder, should also be put under the protection unit investigating the case,” he said.

According to the DCI, Mr. Odhiambo was the passenger in Jacque Maribe's car along Dennis Pritt Road together with Irungu during the fateful night.

The detectives also believe that the two jointly committee murder, with Orlando believed to have disappeared to the Coast to seek help from a witchdoctor.

Among evidence detectives are pushing to get from Odhiambo include Monica Kimani's car keys, the killer weapon and money believed to have been stolen from her house when she was murdered.

Investigations shows that Monica, who is believed to have been detained at JKIA briefly over the huge amount of money she was carrying, was released and subsequently picked by Irungu, her childhood friend.

Mr. Odhiambo, detectives argue, may have executed Monica using his highly special skills obtained from the paramilitary training in GSU, thus concealing vital evidence.
