Deputy President William Ruto has once again called for political sobriety in the country, at a time when political temperatures are on the rise.
Speaking on Saturday, the DP once again called upon his critics to stop spreading baseless propaganda against him and the Jubilee government with an aim of derailing development.
He urged them to shelve their political differences and wrangles and unite under banner of serving the nation and bettering the lives of Kenyans.
“Leaders have been tasked by residents with actively delivering development. We should stop unnecessary politicking and do what we are expected to do,” he was quoted by the Nation.

He also urged politicians to keep off the heating corruption issue which seems to be growing day by day.
He called upon them to let the matter be handled by the relevant authorities, these being the investigative, prosecution and judicial bodies.
“Corrupt people will be dealt with by lawyers, the courts and other relevant bodies,” he added.
The corruption debate has been further fuelled by the unending scandal revelations within state bodies, and the blamegame between politicians.
