Nakuru is ranked among the most beautiful towns in the nation where one can take the best shot.

However, there are a number of places where taking photos, especially selfies can be tragic.

1. Around the Nakuru State Lodge

As much as the area looks neat, quiet and well manicured, taking a selfie can easily land one in trouble and in legal tussles with the state.

Being a no-photography zone, hawk-eyed General Service Unit (GSU) officers manning the area are there waiting for you.

2. The Nakuru highway footbridge

The Medi footbridge, as it is commonly called, is a risky place to do photography with your phone.

Though it has a good view of the town and a beautiful scenery of the Nakuru-Nairobi and Nakuru-Eldoret Highways, you risk dropping your phone and smash it into pieces. Muggers also roam the area and your phone can easily vanish.

3. The Nakuru main roundabout sidewalks

The area surrounding both the overpass and the sidewalks surrounding the main roundabout has since turned into a haven for urchins and a home for street families.

Here, you can also be robbed.

Street kids might also think you are taking photos of themselves and challenge you to a fight.

4. Police stations

As much as the police can be good people, as they have repeatedly tried to make Kenyans believe, most are yet to believe this.

Consequently, no one will take the risk of taking selfies in their full glare for fear of ending up in police cells.
