Nyali Constituency under area MP Mohamed Ali's leadership is building the first Youth and Women Empowerment centre in Kongowea ward.
The MP revealed that the centre is funded by Nyali NG-CDF which he is the patron.
"It will be a venue for women to learn skills like mat making, Soap making, tailoring, fashion amongst other skills," he said.
Youth will also be able to get computer training, talented artists will be able to record their songs in the Nyali One studio which will be set in the structure.
"This centre will also house the Nyali One FM which will provide internship and employment to our young people in the journalism field," said the former KTN investigative journalist.
Meanwhile, the lawmaker is overseeing the construction of Kongowea secondary school courtesy of Nyali NG-CDF.
He said the institution was in line with his manifesto of ensuring each ward has a public secondary school.
"Kongowea secondary school will be the first public secondary school in Kongowea ward since independence. We are keen to solve all the past mistakes that were done by previous leaderships."
