Speaking on Citizen TV on Thursday, Buyu expressed concern over what she termed as the betrayal by other NASA co-principals who boycotted the event, despite strongly affirming to being in the opposition.

She opines that the genesis of the opposition break up was during the hyped mock swearing-in ceremony at Uhuru Park.

"When the other co-principals did not show up at Uhuru park, it was a low moment for me. I actually saw betrayal with my own eyes. That was the beginning of break up of NASA," admitted Buyu.

She went on to state that having been part of the event, she could not see any reason as to why the other opposition leaders opted out of the plan.

"I am an ODM member and a supporter of Raila. I was at Uhuru Park during the ‘swearing-in’ one year ago. At no time did Raila purport to be ‘sworn in’ as head of state. He was ‘sworn in’ as the people’s president," stated Buyu.

Raila Odinga was sworn in as people's president on January 30, 2018 at Uhuru Park by lawyers Miguna Miguna and TJ Kajwang, an event boycotted by the other co-principals: Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula.
