Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has rebuked ex-lovers in his latest hit.
Diamond is making headlines with his latest hit song 'Kanyaga', which he has described as 'the Anthem'.
The singer who is linked to a number of women has a section of the song hitting out at the ex-lovers.
In one of the verses he sings; Ignore fake in-laws, step on ex-lovers.... (Ma wifi kanyaga, mpaka ma ex- kanyaga, mikosi kanyaga, woooya kanyaga")
The 'Inama' hitmaker goes further to list a number of things he considers not benefiting and should be ignored.
Some things he talked about in the new song include:
1. Fake friends
He says friends who add no value to one's life should be ignored. Gossiping friends and pretenders should also be stepped on and ignored. (Ati kanyaga ka ana pigo za unafiki, kanyaga ka ni mmbeya asiye rafiki)
2. Those who are ever borrowing including in bars (Wazee wa shombo kudandia, kanyaga, Club kuomba omba beer, kanyaga).
3. Slay queens
He notes that if you put attention to their cunning threats they exaggerate everything. (slay queens vitisho vya bandia, ukivipa hai eti madai vinavimbia).
4. Wedding fundraisers
The Bongo star also rebukes those who ask for friends to contribute to their wedding even when their friends are broke. (kadi za harusi kuchanga changa, kanyaga, wakati mimi mwenyewe nina majanga, kanyaga)
Other things which should be stepped on, according to Diamond, include trouble making, sending pictures to social media friends, asking for data bundles from friends, asking for friends to pay your rent among others.
