President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday announced that no government project will be launched until the current ones are complete.
The directive might spell doom for Deputy President William Ruto who has been using the 'tanga tanga' movement to launch development projects.
Speaking on Friday at KICC, President Uhuru gave the directive to all government accounting officers. He warned that no new projects should be sanctioned without express authority from the National.
The Head of State was speaking at a forum bringing together all government accounting officers including principal secretaries, parastatal heads, vice-chancellors of public universities and chairmen of state corporations.
DP Ruto will be affected with directive considering that he has been moving across the country launching different development projects.
On Friday, for example, Ruto was in Kakamega County where he laid a foundation stone for the construction of a medical college.
