Haji in a statement on Friday asked the police to take up the matter. The driver allegedly hit a motorist on Friday morning.

According to the motorist identified as Waithera Gaitho, she was hit by the vehicle that was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road.

“I’ve been hit by these “very important” people while they were driving in the wrongs side. Please help me find them”, @serahgaitho tweeted.

"The office of the DPP in response tweeted saying: “The matter has been brought to the attention of the DPP. The motor vehicle belongs to @ODPP_KE and the DPP has directed that immediate action is taken by @NPSOfficial_KE against the driver involved.”

The DPP office in the tweet added, “The public shall be informed of the progress of the case.”

The incident has elicited reactions among Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) who have decried impunity by some government vehicles on the roads.
