Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has sparked a debate online after using the 'kitaeleweka' slogan which has been widely used to counter Deputy President William Ruto' 2022 political manoeuvres.
Ngunjiri on Friday posted a video of the DP and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria giving a speech in Murang'a, with the caption HAWA JAMAA WAKO NA MANENO... lakini ...#Kitaeleweka."
In the video, Kuria is heard saying that he is the owner of the chopper the DP has been using to traverse the country.
"The principal of this school said DP Ruto's chopper landed in this school, let us say the truth as Christians. That chopper is mine. I'm the one who lent it to him, a point of correction please," said Kuria.
The DP reiterated Kuria's remarks, saying that the chopper was indeed owned by the vocal MP, who has been lending it to him.
"As my brother Moses Kuria has put it, those who have been bothering me about the chopper now have answers. The rightful owner of the chopper has been revealed. The chopper belongs to Moses Kuria who has been lending it to me and allowing me to use it from time to time. To all those who had questions now you have the answers, stop spreading propaganda. Let us tell the truth and shame the devil," said DP Ruto.
In January, Kuria hit out at Ngunjiri for saying DP Ruto is not assured of the Mt Kenya vote in 2022.
Ngunjiri's post which reignited the 2022 succession debate has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans.
