An angry man burnt his wife’s clothes after he found love messages from another man in Bosamaro on Sunday.
John Otongo said his wife for the past 6 months has been having an affair with another man outside the wedlock.
“My wife has never left her phone behind whenever she goes even into the toilet. On Sunday she forgot to carry and I had to go through the inbox to see the messages.
"I was shocked to find love messages from a man demanding sex from her,” said Otongo.
Otongo said he was angered, collected all his wife’s clothes and burnt them as she watched.
“I can’t condone stupidity anymore. I burnt her clothes so that she can remain with one cloth for her not to leave home to go and meet her mpango wa kando. Next time I will cut off her ears if I find love messages in her phone,” he noted.
Area local administrator Joakim Orenge said the woman failed to explain how the love texts found its way to her phone prompting the man to burn the clothes.
The chief warned married women against falling in love with other men saying anyone who will be found will carry her own cross.
