In the post, Wambugu defended the movement by asserting that it had made a number of accomplishments, one of them being the call for the cessation of 2022 political debate.

"We have managed to change the 2022 narrative and compete for equal space with # TangaTanga despite only having been out and about for 2 months as compared to the nearly 2 years TangaTanga has been up and about," read part of the post.

The legislator refuted claims that the group was experiencing shortcomings in a bid to popularize their agenda while claiming that it had recruited a good number of members in a period of about three months since its inception.

"He wants to focus on our ‘setbacks’; am not sure what he’s talking about. I tell him considering what was seen as a ‘one-man’ show less than 3 months ago is now a national debate with tens of other MPs associating with it, am not sure how he would say we are ‘losing members’," argued Wambugu, in a response to a Standard Newspaper journalist.

He denied reports asserting that they were, one day, send away from a church in Kiambu county for planning to play politics.

The former ODM politician wondered why Ngetich did not incorporate his (Wambugu's) views in the article that appeared in the standard newspaper on Sunday.
