Street preacher Jemimah Wangari Waruingi has been sentenced to one year in jail for disturbing the peace outside the Interior CS Fred Matiang’i’s office.
It is not clear whether the CS was at his office when this incident happened.
The woman who allegedly stayed outside Harambee House where the Ministry of Interior offices are is said to have demanded to see the Interior CS.
She admitted having caused a disturbance.
Ms Waruingi told the court that she had a prophetic message for Mr. Matiang’I, but refused to disclose the details of her message claiming that her messages are only meant for the specific people, whom the message targeted.
Appearing before the Milimani Senior Magistrate Kennedy Cheruyiot, Ms. Waruingi stated that she caused drama, which breached peace with the guards.
Milimani Principal Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot delivered a non-custodial jail term of one year to the preacher.
Ms. Waruingi is feared for delivering messages of tragedy for Kenya’s top politicians. However, she also receives good messages for the top leaders in the country. Her recent drama at the Interior CS office has earned her both negative and positive reputation among Kenyans.
Her message for the Interior Cabinet Secretary is not yet disclosed. Could it be a good or bad message?
