According to Mr. Gichana, he has a calling from God to help the less fortunate people in society.

Speaking at Gusii stadium on Friday during his historic grand return after languishing in a Tanzanian prison for five years where he faced money laundering charges, Mr. Gichana assured Kisii residents that he will re-organize himself before he proceeds in helping the needy.

"I want to settle down before I embark on my previous work of empowering the youth and women. I will continue helping the needy because it is a calling I have from God," he said.

He said he is not going to be scared of his political enemies who are out to achieve a hidden agenda.

"I can't engage people who are out there tainting my name. Let it be known that we must live in the present and not the past. Anyone opposed by my return should consider facing me, face to face, and not moving from village to village tarnishing my name," said Gichana.
