Taking to his twitter handle on Sunday evening, the lawyer said electioneering period is still too far urging Kenyans to give leaders time to discharge and deliver the promises they made.

"The next general elections are in August 9, 2022; is 3 years, 4 months (1,386 days) away,

"But greedy Christian churches, school committees and funeral committees are encouraging politicians to begin campaigns now," read his tweet.

He, however, maintained that if the country plunges into war or collapse, the church leaders should be blamed for their role in encouraging political mishaps in their holy pulpits.

"When Kenya collapses or goes to war, we will hold them liable," he added.

Kenya has been in the political mood ever since the last general elections with threats, intimidations taking centre stage as politicians make realignments for the 2022 polls.

Majority of Kenyans are Christians hence politicians go to churches since they will address large numbers of target constituents.

Politicians most recently have been accused of disrespecting the Holy Church of God by hurling insults, exchanging words and issuing threats to other leaders in the church.
