The knife was found at the murder scene and is believed to be the one used to cut the deceased’s neck.

Police also believe the wads of cash found in the news reader’s bedroom were stolen from Monica after she was killed.

The investigators have not revealed the amount of the money.

Monica was found murdered at her house and Jacque’s lover Joseph Irungu alias Jowie is behind bars as the main suspect in the murder.

Jowie will be arraigned in court on Monday, September 8 after the expiry of the ten days police were given by the court to hold him.

Jacque’s lawyer Katwa Kigen said his client has cooperated with investigators fully.

On Saturday, a DNA test was carried at the ex-news anchor as police try to establish if she was at the murder scene.

So far, police said, Jacque can be charged with trying to cover up a murder as they have proved she knew what her lover had done.
