While warning the party against its latest move to summon Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori over their recent comments that rattled the ODM ranks, a group of MPs drawn from the region have now asked the Raila-led outfit to go slow.

"We will not allow ODM to mistreat our members. The letter they have written to the two members goes against the  democratic right of expressing a political opinion," said Galole lawmaker Hiribae Said.

The lawmaker's comment comes after it emerged that the party had written letters to Jumwa and Dori asking them to show why disciplinary action should not be taken against them over their recent conduct.

But in what could set a stage for a major political showdown between the party and the 'rebels', the region's politicians who have of late been 'marked men' within he orange party are not just ready to go down easily.
