Robert Ouko was the Kenyan Minister for Foreign Affairs before he met his untimely death in 1990. On 16 February, the government announced that Ouko's body remains were lying at Got Alila Hill. Since then, the ex-minister killers have never come to light.
A lot has happened since Ouko died almost 28 years ago. The most notable events are how key witnesses in his case have died with others disappearing mysteriously.
Otieno Yogo, Pius Omolo, Nehemiah Ombati, Joseph Mbogo and Ouko’s confidant Martin Ochwada were all key witnesses in the case who died leaving more questions to rise than answers.
However, the most mysterious death that shocked many Kenyans was the departure of Political Activist Masinde Muliro. He died under mysterious circumstances at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) shortly after disembarking from a British Airways plane.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that Muliro had gone to dig into the mysterious death of Robert Ouko in London.
There were also speculations that Muliro had traveled on the same plane with former Minister Nicholas Biwott from London, claims that the then Minister for Energy played down saying he had used a separate plane.
