There was drama after two male teachers engaged in fist fight over food.This happened on Wednesday at Bosamaro, Masaba in Nyamira County.
Witnesses said trouble started after a teacher, Ronald Momanyi, who was recently transferred to the school arrived from Nyamira town for official duties asked for food.
"Momanyi was transferred to the school early this term. He was out of the school from morning hours for an official function.
"When he returned to school he demanded to be given food but, Julius Mabuka told him that he is not supposed to eat food in the school,” said Raphael Orina.
Orina said Momanyi picked a quarrel with Mabuka prompting the fight.
"Momanyi descended on Mabuka with kicks and blows before other teachers intervened. Momanyi said Mabuka should respect him because he is a trained teacher like him,” he noted.
Boniface Magero, area assistant chief condemned the teachers for fighting in public over food.
Magero said unnecessary fights will not be condoned in the area because such fights will bring a bad example to pupils who may take advantage to start fighting in the future.
