A jubilated Manchester City fan on Sunday did the unexpected at Maggie's restaurant in Eldoret town following his team's convincing win against Chelsea.
The popular restaurant was full of football fans watching the game and when City scored their fourth goal on the 25th minute through Gundogan, the fan, John Barasa jumped up in jubilation and declared that he would foot the bills of dozens of fans who were watching the game at the upstairs wing.
Amazed football fans responded in jubilation as they chanted loudly praising the amazing Manchester city counterpart.
The move further prompted the Manchester City fans to converge on one dinner table and commenced mocking their Chelsea colleagues.
“I am a diehard fan of Manchester City since 2011 and am very happy today, that is why I don’t feel bad to settle bills for my fans and colleagues who have been here today. I hope my team will maintain this brilliant performance and go on to win the league,” said Barasa.
“This is a joyous moment for us here as we unite and dine together watching football,” added said Naomy Sang, a Manchester City fan.
Barasa alongside the tens City fans shouted at the top of their voice each time their team scored.
“I am so happy that my bill has been sorted by a football fan here. I came to take supper as I watch the game and it is a nice experience," said Edward Kosut, a journalist who was also in the restaurant.
Manchester city trounced Chelsea 6-0 in the thrilling English Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium to go top of the table on superior goal difference as they are tied at 65 points with Liverpool.
It was indeed a happy evening for the Manchester City fans in the restaurant.
