Former Kisii University Eldoret campus student leader, Brian Rono has hinted that he will be vying for the Mosop parliamentary seat in 2022 election.
Rono, 26, who served as governor in 2016/2017 at the university based in Eldoret town disclosed that he is determined to boldly plunge into politics, noting that he is making early preparation ahead of the polls.
"I have a dream that I become a leader of my own people, listen to their grievances and solve problems that have wrecked the constituents for long,” said Rono.
The Education graduate maintained that he has been consistently approached by a section of Chepterwai residents in Mosop, Nandi county to take the constituency's mantle.
However, the upcoming youthful and ambitious politician is yet to unveil the party he will subscribe to in his bid pointing out that he will disclose in due course before 2022.
Rono also hinted that he will go for the party that will agree with his development manifestos.
“For now I am still engaging with various leaders on which party to go with, what is necessary at this early stage is to popularize my great agenda on youths, concerning empowerment and sensitization of the locals to embrace TVET programs,” he said reiterating that it will be a ‘contest of big monies and big brains’.
Currently, Rono is a teacher in Our Lady of Victory Kapnyeberai and will be looking forward to tossing into a parliamentary contest for the first time.
He will be facing off with the current lawmaker Vincent Tuwei who is widely expected to seek a second term in office.
