He will obviously be depending on his close allies to not only advise him but also lead his campaigns and mobilize funds and grassroots support.

Here are some of his close allies who might do the job for him, especially in Luo Nyanza, as he will have to coordinate his backyard before venturing out to seek the national vote.

The leading person will automatically be Siaya Senator James Orengo who has been in the front line in insisting that the former Prime Minister will again be on the ballot.

Orengo appears so close to Raila and his involvement in the planning and campaigns is almost assured. He is also a super lawyer who will be useful on matters legal advice.

He is likely to lead Raila's campaigns in the Nyanza region based on his vast influence and the admiration he enjoys in the region, especially in Siaya.

Raila will also be heavily dependent on Suna East lawmaker Junet Mohammed who has always had his way with the crowds, especially when it comes to counterattacks.

The vocal parliamentarian is also very close to Odinga his position in Raila's heart and the party cannot be downplayed and might be deployed to take care of Raila's ideologies in Migori county.

Also likely to be in the front line in pushing for Raila's presidency in Nyanza will be Suba South lawmaker John Mbadi.

The latter is also Raila's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) national Chair and could be deployed to take care of the Homa Bay region.

Just like the two, he remains very close to the African Union Infrastructure Development envoy.

In Kisumu, Odinga will heavily rely on his sister and former Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga.
