A 30-year-old man has been arraigned before a Nakuru court and charged with defiling his 10-year-old niece.
Appearing before Resident Magistrate Wilson Kitur, Wilson Mbugua was accused of defiling the minor.
On an alternative count, Mbugua was also accused of an indecent act with a child by touching the minor’s private parts.
He allegedly committed the crime on diverse dates between June 10 and 24 at Wanyororo B area in Bahati, Nakuru County.
Mbugua was arrested and taken to Bahati Police Station following a tip-off from neighbors.
He is alleged that he was fond of visiting the minor's home and asking for the girl but then the minor was noticed to have a difficulty in walking.
She revealed to the mother that it was her uncle who had defiled her.
He denied the charges and was released on a Sh100,000 bond pending hearing of the case on August 8.
