MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto nos claim that the ODM Party plans to have Raila Odinga become President Uhuru Kenyatta's deputy.
The MPs argued that the party is laying the plans through Senator James Orengo who has announced plans to introduce a motion to impeach Deputy President William Ruto.
Led by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, the MPs made the remarks during a press briefing at Parliament building on Tuesday.
"The whole plan is from Raila, we know his script. He cannot gain power through the ballot now he wants it through the window," Nyoro said.
He added that Orengo wants Ruto impeached so that Raila can become the deputy president.
"They want Raila to become the deputy president," he added.
On her part, Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru accused Raila and his supporters of driving a wedge between Uhuru and Ruto.
"Uhuru likes Ruto, ignore the rumours from those people," the vocal MP said.
Orengo has caused a political storm after he said that ODM is planning to use article 150 of the constitution to send DP Ruto packing.
The senator said Ruto has been implicated in various scandals in the country, adding that is enough to initiate an impeachment motion.
However, Homabay Woman Rep Gladys Wanga on Tuesday, while speaking on Citizen TV, dismissed Orengo as a lone ranger in the plan to kick out Ruto.
"I sit at ODM's NEC and we have not discussed any impeachment," she said.
