Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has been asked to save Nyamira county people by prosecuting county boss Governor John Nyagarama over misuse of public resources and power.
A section of traders operating in Nyamira town have protested poor services being offered by the county government despite paying taxes to the rogue government.
The traders led by Catherine Siocha claimed that Nyagarama belong to jail.
"We have nothing to smile about the leadership of Mr Nyagarama. EACC should ensure Nyagarama returns the county money he has stolen from the county and jail him without favor," she noted.
Zipporah Nyaboke said Nyagarama's government has discriminated women, youth and disabled people.
"Nyagarama is a failure and a thief only interested in giving priorities to men ignoring men on the other hand. EACC must collaborate with the office of the DPP to have Nyagarama held accountable for the corruption cases in the county," said Nyaboke.
Emmanuel Mekenye regretted that Nyagarama's latest Cabinet reshuffle was meant to lie to voters that he is delivering.
"We have poor roads, poor health services across the county. Nyagarama must be compelled to return the funds he has stolen before he is sent to jail", said Mekenye.
