The Ukambani political kingpin said it is time all elected leaders and Kenyans stood united in the war against graft.

Kalonzo argued that corruption could sink the country if those looting public coffers are not arrested and prosecuted.

Speaking at Serena Hotel in Nairobi on Saturday to mark the "handshake' anniversary, Kalonzo urged leaders across the political divide to stop politicizing the renewed fight against graft.

He said the fight is not targeting any individual or community as some leaders are propagating.

"Kenyans and all elected leaders must unite and support President Uhuru Kenyatta in the renewed fight against graft which is a national curse," Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo warned that President Kenyatta might not achieve his Big Four Development Agenda because of massive graft in government.

He, however, urged President Kenyatta to remain firm and sack state officials who have been implicated in graft scandals.

Kalonzo also asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and other agencies involved in the fight against graft not to spare anyone implicated on corruption.

He also urged the agencies to push for recovery of stolen public funds and assets.

Debate continues to rage on in the renewed war against graft as some politicians allied to Deputy President (DP) William Ruto accuse the DCI of allegedly targeting him (Ruto).

The politicians allege that DCI is out to block DP Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
