A NASA allied MP in Nyamira County has begged ODM leader Raila Odinga to retire from active politics in peace.
West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi, while speaking on Wednesday during a radio interview at Radio Citizen, said Raila is old and should accept to retire.
"Raila has qualified for pension. I am begging him to retire from active politics and give youthful politicians a chance to engage in politics. Let the former Prime Minister go and enjoy his pension," he said.
The lawmaker, who was elected on a Ford Kenya party ticket, insisted that if opposition can't produce a strong candidate in 2022, Jubilee party will outshine and win presidency.
"Deputy President William Ruto may end up becoming President in 2022 if opposition coalition fails to plan well. Raila should not be on the ballot vying for the country's top seat because he has terribly failed three times," he argued.
Mr. Kemosi added that Ford Kenya MP Moses Wetangula should be opposition's flag bearer in 2022.
"Wetangula should vie for Presidency in 2022. ODM, Wiper and ANC parties should support Wetangula because he is a goo deal to compete with Ruto," he added.
